How will the Donations be used?
Platinum Studios, as a non-profit organization, will utilize the money to further empower young adults through the art of filmmaking. With a focus on advocating the importance of the Arts in the development of Louisiana's youth, the funds will be used to provide accessible technologies and resources to participants. These resources will enable them to actively engage in every stage of the cultural arts process, particularly in the realm of filmmaking. The organization will offer film classes, workshops, and hands-on experiences that teach young people how to create, write, direct, produce, and edit films.

Platnium Studios
Platnium Studios is a non-profit organization that empowers young adults with the skills to to navigate the important journey of advocating the importance of the Arts in the development of Louisiana's youth. Inspiring the Community to help these young people, knowing because of their participation in the Arts, have blossomed in ways that can only come from within. These young people find their passion in a variety of areas, and they learn to think outside the box, think in entrepreneurial ways, and tune in to what they are truly interested in and would like to pursue. All of this happens because they took an art class, or a drama class, or learned to play an instrument, sing a song, take a picture, design a dress, or create a film. Platnium Studios utilizing accessible technologies, each participant will be encouraged to actively participate in every stage of the cultural arts process.
Filming making
Harness Your Creative Power PRE-PRODUCTION
Pre-Production: There are many different elements that need to be considered before a movie is even filmed. participants will be given an introduction to these elements, including Scripting, Storyboarding, Casting, Design and Locations.

PRODUCTION:
Production: With a focus on the roles needed in the actual production of a film, campers will learn how the Director, Cinematographer, Actor, Lighting Director, Sound Engineer and others all collaborate to create each frame of a movie.

POST PRODUCTION:
Post-Production: participants learn the basic tools to polish a film and prepare it for distribution. In the post-production phase we look at Film Editing, Sound Mixing, Title Creation, and Special Effects.

STEPS TO GET INVOLVED
Companies have plenty of philanthropic opportunities and programs to help support organizations. Best of all, companies can offer more than just monetary funds; You can provide our organization with enthusiastic volunteers as well as in-kind contributions. You can make use of the many of our Contribution programs that provide charitable donations, such as:
Volunteer Grants. Companies will award donations to nonprofits after an employee has volunteered for a set number of hours. For example, Verizon donates $750 for every 50 hours of volunteer work per employee.
Matching Gifts. When donors give to your organization, their employee might match their donations (usually at a 1:1 ratio). General Electric will match donations to most organizations one for one on up to $25,000.
Donation Requests. Many corporations provide grants or in-kind donations to nonprofits upon request. Organizations can submit an application to Walmart for a chance to receive $250 to $2,500.

- Volunteer. You can volunteer for a set number of hours to help support. Part of having a great volunteer experience relies on your ability to be a great volunteer. These basic principles are good to keep in mind:
- Be professional.
- Honor your volunteer commitments.
- Extend gratitude to an organization for any training or professional development you receive while volunteering.
Educational workshops, Lectures, Seminars, Conferences, Community Service
The amount of the contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of any money (and the value of any property other than money) contributed by the donor over the fair market value of goods or services provided by the charity.
Provide the donor with a good faith estimate of the fair market value of the goods or services that the donor received. The charity must furnish the statement in connection with either the solicitation or the receipt of the quid pro quo contribution. If the disclosure statement is furnished in connection with a particular solicitation, it is not necessary for the organization to provide another statement when it actually receives the contribution.
TAX DEDUCTION
You receive or expect to receive a financial or economic benefit equal to the contribution.
Quid Pro Quo Donations:This is a payment a donor makes to a charity partly as a contribution and partly for goods or services. For example, if a donor gives a charity $100 and receives a concert ticket valued at $40, the donor has made a quid pro quo contribution. In this example, the charitable contribution part of the payment is $60. Even though the deductible part of the payment is not more than $75, a disclosure statement must be filed because the donor’s payment (quid pro quo contribution) is more than $75. Failure to make the required disclosure may result in a penalty to the organization.
Nonprofit Disclosure StatementThe required written disclosure statement must:
No disclosure statement is required if any of the following is true:
i. The goods or services given to a donor have insubstantial value as described in Revenue Procedures 90-12 and 92-49,
ii. There is no donative element involved in a particular transaction with a charity (for example, there is generally no donative element involved in a visitor’s purchase from a museum gift shop).
iii. There is only an intangible religious benefit provided to the donor. The intangible religious benefit must be provided to the donor by an organization organized exclusively for religious purposes, and must be of a type that generally is not sold in a commercial transaction outside the donative context. For example, a donor who, for a payment, is granted admission to a religious ceremony for which there is no admission charge is provided an intangible religious benefit. A donor is not provided intangible religious benefits for payments made for tuition for education leading to a recognized degree, travel services, or consumer goods.
iv. The donor makes a payment of $75 or less per year and receives only annual membership benefits that consist of:
- Any rights or privileges (other than the right to purchase tickets for college athletic events) that the taxpayer can exercise often during the membership period, such as free or discounted admissions or parking or preferred access to goods or services, or
- Admission to events that are open only to members and the cost per person of which is within the limits for low-cost articles described in Revenue Procedures 90-12 and 92-49 (as adjusted for inflation). Also see the discussion of insubstantial value above.
